Domestic hardwoods, hand-rubbed finishes, and a finish room that doesn't cut corners.

We work primarily in domestic hardwoods sourced from regional mills, hand-finished in our spray booth or by hand depending on the spec. Every species below is in active rotation in our shop today.

01

American Walnut

Rich chocolate tones with natural color variation. Hand-rubbed oil finish or conversion varnish. Shown here in a built-in wine cellar.

02

Hand-Carved Mahogany

Hand-carved acanthus, dentil molding, fluted pilasters. The level of craft most shops can't take on anymore.

03

Painted Inset

Hand-sprayed conversion varnish on hardwood substrate. Any Benjamin Moore, Farrow & Ball, or custom color. Hand-fit inset doors.

04

Custom Profiles

Crown, base, panel, and casing profiles we mill in-house. Curved transitions, custom radii, dimension match to existing trim.

A few of the rooms we've built. Three decades. All in-house.

One shop. One team. Concept to install.

01

Discover

Site walk, conversations with you and your designer/architect, scope and budget calibration. We listen first.

02

Design

Concept sketches, material selection, full shop drawings. Every joint, reveal, and grain direction specified before a board is cut.

03

Fabricate

Built in our own shop by craftsmen who've been here for years. CNC precision, hand finishing, full QC before anything leaves the dock.

04

Install

Our install team — not a sub — sets every piece. Cleanup, punchlist, walkthrough. You meet the people who built it.

Three doors. One shop behind every one.

Every project we take on is custom. But every project doesn't start the same way. Tell us who you are — we'll route you to the right team, on the right form, in the right inbox.

Start your design brief. Five quick questions.

Step 1 of 5

What are you building?

Pick whichever feels closest — we'll get specific later.

How would you describe the scope?

A rough sense. We'll refine on the call.

When do you want to start?

Most projects are scheduled 2–4 months out. We'll be honest about availability.

Tell us anything else.

Materials in mind, designer attached, square footage, photos for inspiration — whatever's helpful. Optional.

How do we reach you?

A real human will get back to you within one business day.

Your brief is ready.

Here's what we've got — review and send when ready.

By submitting, you agree we'll reach out within one business day. We don't sell or share your information.

Pick a piece. Pick your wood. See a budget range. Place a request.

We're building a first-of-its-kind direct-to-consumer custom millwork configurator. Walk through the same options our shop offers — wood species, finish, hardware, dimensions — and get an honest budget range before you ever pick up the phone. No quote inflation, no "call for pricing." Just real numbers, real ranges, real fast.

Built in the same 50,000 SF shop. Same in-house team. Same 37-year standard.

Three decades. One shop. Built the right way.

Since 1989, Taylor Made Custom Cabinetry has been building cabinetry and architectural millwork the way it used to be done — and the way it still should be.

From a 50,000 square-foot fabrication facility in Pennsauken, New Jersey, our 25-person in-house team handles every step of every job. Design, drawings, fabrication, finishing, install — all under one roof, by people we know by name. We don't broker the work out. We don't outsource the finish. The person who answers your call is the same person who's going to walk your jobsite.

Our work lives in homes, schools, offices, hospitality spaces, and corporate reception areas across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and — increasingly — the rest of the country. Some of it has been there for thirty years. We expect it to be there thirty more.
