Founded in Pennsauken, New Jersey in 1989, Taylor Made Custom Cabinetry is one of the East Coast's longest-running custom millwork shops. We design, fabricate, finish, and install everything we build — under one roof, by one team — for high-end residential clients and commercial projects nationwide.
Full inset and overlay cabinetry, hand-built islands, integrated appliance panels, statement hoods. Built for clients who care about what's behind the doors as much as the face — hand-fit drawers, dovetailed boxes, conversion varnish or hand-rubbed finish.
Library walls, home bars, walk-in wardrobes, mudrooms, hand-built wine rooms with cooling integration and curved corner joinery. The work that turns a room into something permanent — and looks intentional from every angle.
Reception desks, conference tables, office fronts, classroom storage, retail fixtures, healthcare casework. From a single specialty piece to multi-floor build-outs. Shop drawings to punchlist — AWI premium grade where it's specced.
Wainscot, raised and flat panel, custom crown and base profiles, slat walls, wood-framed glass partitions, coffered ceilings. The details that mark a space as designed — not just built.
We work primarily in domestic hardwoods sourced from regional mills, hand-finished in our spray booth or by hand depending on the spec. Every species below is in active rotation in our shop today.
Rich chocolate tones with natural color variation. Hand-rubbed oil finish or conversion varnish. Shown here in a built-in wine cellar.
Hand-carved acanthus, dentil molding, fluted pilasters. The level of craft most shops can't take on anymore.
Hand-sprayed conversion varnish on hardwood substrate. Any Benjamin Moore, Farrow & Ball, or custom color. Hand-fit inset doors.
Crown, base, panel, and casing profiles we mill in-house. Curved transitions, custom radii, dimension match to existing trim.
Site walk, conversations with you and your designer/architect, scope and budget calibration. We listen first.
Concept sketches, material selection, full shop drawings. Every joint, reveal, and grain direction specified before a board is cut.
Built in our own shop by craftsmen who've been here for years. CNC precision, hand finishing, full QC before anything leaves the dock.
Our install team — not a sub — sets every piece. Cleanup, punchlist, walkthrough. You meet the people who built it.
Every project we take on is custom. But every project doesn't start the same way. Tell us who you are — we'll route you to the right team, on the right form, in the right inbox.
You have drawings. You have a deadline. We have a 50,000 SF shop, a 25-person crew, and 37 years of building to spec, to schedule, to AWI premium grade.

Since 1989, Taylor Made Custom Cabinetry has been building cabinetry and architectural millwork the way it used to be done — and the way it still should be.
From a 50,000 square-foot fabrication facility in Pennsauken, New Jersey, our 25-person in-house team handles every step of every job. Design, drawings, fabrication, finishing, install — all under one roof, by people we know by name. We don't broker the work out. We don't outsource the finish. The person who answers your call is the same person who's going to walk your jobsite.
Our work lives in homes, schools, offices, hospitality spaces, and corporate reception areas across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and — increasingly — the rest of the country. Some of it has been there for thirty years. We expect it to be there thirty more.
